Once the design was accepted, the construction followed. The structure began to take shape with a timber decking and ballustrade sides. This was planted up with honeysuckle, jasmine and clematis and a mix of grasses, hebes and hydrangeas at ground level.

Once the initial shape of the bed was established and the turf removed, compost was then added to improve the soil quality and it was planted. The second photo shows what this bed looked like two years later.
